The Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman announced the transformation of the parking fee payment service into a fully smart service, after it stopped the process of paying fees using traditional devices, announcing the expiration of its work.
This comes within the framework of the department’s keeping pace with the directions of the rational leadership seeking to move forward in the field of smart transformation in all services and providing them to the public through smart applications that save a lot of time and effort.
The director general of the department, Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al-Nuaimi, said that the department is moving forward vigorously in transforming all its services into smart services that reach the customer anywhere and at any time through the launch of smart applications and advanced systems that achieve the desired goals.
He added that all the emirate’s parking lots are being used around the clock by residents and visitors, and accordingly the department decided to adopt smart, easiest, flexible and safe payment options, especially in light of the prevailing conditions amid the Covid 19 pandemic and within the framework of the procedures to be followed to reduce the use of devices and cash and work on Replace it with smart options and available alternatives.
Al Nuaimi explained that the alternatives are diverse for the parking users who can benefit from the service by sending SMS or using the unified application of the MPDA, stressing the department’s keenness to provide the best for all segments of society.
