The Middle East’s leading retailer, Lulu, launched the Saudi Mango Week on June 9, 2021, a festival of locally grown mango varieties, the first time such an event has been organized to promote local mango varieties in the Kingdom. Lulu has purchased more than 20 types of tropical fruits for the festival from all over the Kingdom, and the promotion started on June 9, 2021 and features great deals and offers on a selection of fresh imported mangoes, which are available in Lulu stores in Saudi Arabia.
The festival was visited by Eng. Suleiman Al-Jutaili (Director General of Cooperative Societies, Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Saudi Arabia) on June 9, 2021 at Lulu Hypermarket Atyaf Mall, Yarmouk Riyadh. An agreement was signed on the same day between Lulu Saudi Arabia for Saudi supermarkets and the Council of Cooperative Societies to promote and sell Saudi agricultural products produced through Lulu Saudi to supermarkets throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Council of Cooperative Societies, Dr. Abdullah Kadman, and the regional director of Lulu Saudi Arabia, Shehim Mohammed, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Ahmed Al-Ayada.
